PFC Brian Gorham

PFC Brian Gorham was a 2004 graduate of Greenwood High School.  At just 21 years old, he gave his life defending our country in Afghanistan during Operation Enduring Freedom.  On December 12, 2007, PFC Gorham and two other soldiers from his regiment were involved in an IED hostile fire attack.  On December 31, 2007, Gorham passed away at a hospital in San Antonio, Texas due to complications from his injury.


Cage the Elephant

Deeply inspired by punk music, brothers Matt and Brad Shultz began playing music in high school with fellow students Jared Champion and Daniel Tichenor.  Shortly after forming the band, they made the bold move to London to begin their career. Their self-titled debut album gained them international attention, catapulting them up the Billboard Alternative and Rock charts and achieving Platinum certification.


Bronson Norris Murphy

Bronson Murphy, a 2004 graduate of Greenwood High School, has made a name for himself entertaining audiences across the country as a Broadway performer with stage credits in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s critically acclaimed shows, Carts and Phantom of the Opera.  He is a member of WKY’s Musical Wall of Fame, a two-time winner of the NATS vocal competition and a four-time recipient of the WKU’s Male Vocalist of the Semester Award.
