Spring has sprung at The Creek and summer is on the way. We welcome you to the website of Drakes Creek Middle School; please take a look around and check out the great happenings. As we move toward the end of the school year, we begin to anticipate KSA testing and ultimately, the move into the next school year.
KSA [Kentucky Summative Assessment] is Kentucky’s benchmark assessment for the year. While no single test is a completely accurate picture of a school or a student, it is important for students to give their best effort so that we have good data to help drive our decisions moving forward. This past year, we were rated as a “blue” school, meaning we performed at the highest tier in the state. As we continue to Engage and Connect for Success in the classroom, we are confident that our students are ready and able to achieve the same level of success each year. Go get ‘em, Gators!
Finally, as we move into next year, we wish our 8th graders well as they are promoted to high school. These students are ready and will make the most of their high school experience. While we are sad to see these 8th graders leave us, we are excited to welcome a whole new class of Gators to 7th grade at DCMS. We met these students in March and they are going to continue to build our great Gator Nation! If you do not live in the attendance zone for Drakes Creek but would like to apply for your child to attend our school out-of-district, transfer request forms will be available at the warrencountyschools.org website on April 1.
If you have any questions about our school, please do not hesitate to contact us.
