About Me:

I am very excited to be at Drakes Creek Middle this year! I am originally from Elizabethtown, Kentucky. I moved to Bowling Green after graduating from Central Hardin High School in 2007 and began attending WKU in the Fall of 2007. I just graduated with honors from Western Kentucky University this past May with a Middle Grades Education degree and certification in Mathematics. While at WKU, I played for the Varsity Tennis team for four years. I was proud to receive a Varsity letter and be a part of a team that received the honor of highest G.P.A. out of all of the varsity sports teams at WKU. I have made it a personal priority to be the best student athlete I could possibly be all throughout my school career. I try everyday in my classroom to stress to students the importance of education and math.

About my classes:

I strongly believe that a strong foundation in mathematics will prepare students not only to be successful in school, but also in their future endeavors in their lives. I strive everyday to help prepare my students to develop an in-depth understanding and mastery of the concepts we are learning.  I also try to show students how math is used in real-world situations to help them realize the importance of learning math.
