Hello! My name is Mariah Armstrong and I am the music teacher at Plano Elementary!

I am originally from Paris, Tennessee but went to college in Kentucky through Murray State University. I earned my Bachelor's of Music in Music Education in December 2019 and earned my Master's in Music Education from the University of Georgia in August 2021.

I am married to my wonderful husband Aaron Armstrong, the health and physical education teacher at Warren East Middle School. We met at Murray State University our senior year in a dance class and have been together ever since. 

This is my second year teaching and I am very excited to have your child in my music class and look forward to many musical adventures. Ultimately, my role as your child's teacher is to encourage my students to persevere, develop technical skills and knowledge, and help them to become successful musicians and well-rounded students.
